The EM100FX combines the power of PCI Fast Ethernet
with the advantages of fiber optic cabling. The fiber optic
interface makes the EM100FX ideal for use in 'electrically
noisy' environments such as building risers and factory floors.
With support for Full Duplex mode, the EM100 FX is
excellent for use in servers and connecting network backbones.
Distances of up to 2 kilometers are supported. Conforms to IEEE
100BASE-FX. Availible with both ST and SC type connectors.

- Self-configuring design for "plug and go" operation

- DECchip 21140 LAN coprocessor chip
- Distances of up to 400 meter in half duplex, 2KM in full duplex mode
- Availible with either ST or SC connector
