SMC's EtherPower PCI adapters connect computers containing a Peripheral Component Interface (PCI) bus to an Ethernet twisted-pair or thin coax network. Serving as a high-speed interface between the CPU and the adapter, the PCI bus eliminates bottlenecks by bypassing the traditional 1/0 bus and providing a wider data path and a faster data transfer rate.

These 32-bit, high-performance bus-master adapters provide speeds up to 33MHz and data throughput at rates as high as 132MBytes/second. They are the ideal solution for both high-speed systems and transfers of multimedia and video data.

The EtherPower PCI adapters are auto-configurable for plug-and- play installation. just power up the PC and the job is done.

Choose from two models: a combo adapter with both an RJ-45 connector for twisted-pair cable and a BNC connector for thin coax cable, or a 10BASE-T adapter with an RJ-45 connector.
