The NH 200 Fast Ethernet Expansion Modules are field-installable upgrades to the MegaSwitch NH 208, NH 215, and NH 2007. Each module provides the MegaSwitch with Fast Ethernet capabilities, providing an ideal migration path from a legacy Ethernet network to a new 100 Mbps network. It can also alleviate the network bottleneck to busy servers by merging several Ethernet segments into a single 'fat pipe' to a server, or multiple servers by using the 100 Mbps Mega Hub (NH 108).

The NH 200 is available in multimode, singlemode, and extended distance singlemode 100 Base FX, as well as standard 100 Base TX. Fast Ethernet is normally restricted to a network diameter of 250 meters. Using full duplex fiber optics, up to 40km 200 Mbps links can be achieved. Longer distances are also available.
