The NH 108 Fast Ethernet Hub is an economical 100 BaseTX repeater that supports eight 100 Mbps workstations or servers. The NH 108 is an ideal solution for high-bandwidth applications that require performance beyond 10 Mbps Ethernet speed. The MegaHub NH 108 provides a low-cost migration path to 100 Mbps technology. It is part of an inte- grated 10/100 Ethernet solution. A combined deployment of a MegaHub and a MegaSwitch from NBase increases client/server performance in a very substantial and measurable way. The NH 108 uses the IEEE 802.3u, 100BaseTX standard to increase the speed of network transmissions by a factor of I 0. This enhanced performance greatly improves network efficiency, making the hub ideal for sup- porting server farms, a group of power users, or multiple 10/100 switches.

Fast Ethernet is Ethernet, Only Faster

It uses the same basic technology as standard 10Mbps Ethernet, just increases the speed to 100Mbps. Staying with pure Ethernet IEEE 802.3 allows you to move data between 1OBaseTX clients and 100BaseTX servers without protocol translation. Combining the MegaSwitch 10/100 with the NH 108 MegaHub provides a seamless integration of Fast Ethernet into existing 10 Mbps Ethernet LANS.

Cascading Hubs for a Maximum of 14 Ports

The MegaHub NH 108 has an uplinkable port that lets you connect the hub to another MegaHub providing a maximum of 14 ports on the same collision domain. The hub also has several LEDs that help you monitor the hub's status at the hub and port levels. The NH 108 hub provides active management by autopartitioning ports and monitoring error
