The FibreStar FCH-1063 Fibre Channel Hub brings affordable reliability and additional flexibility to fibre channel arbitrated loop topologies.

100 Mbyte/sec full duplex transmission
8 copper ports with DB-9 style connectors
1 optional optical port with and SC connector
Cascading of hubs is effected by connecting any two ports

Clock Recovery retiming circuit per port to remove line jitter
Serial signal fault detection circuit to bypass non-operational ports

Users can disconnect nodes, add nodes or power off nodes without causing the FC-AL network to fail.

The FCH-1063 operates with fibre channel PCI and SBus host adapters and fibre channel RAID cabinets, as has been demonstrated by JAYCOR Network Products at the recent Networld+Interop Show. Additional nodes are easily added or removed from the network without disturbing connectivity. With cascading hubs, the loop is scaleable to 127 nodes.
